The University of Auckland’s School of Architecture and Planning offered the first recognised planning course in New Zealand and continues to be highly regarded for its strong academic focus, excellent teaching and innovative research.
The curriculum covers a range of subjects
including: policy analysis, community planning, economic
development, environmental science, resource management and
local government law, Treaty of Waitangi issues, infrastructure
provision, heritage conservation, settlement and landscape
design. The programme has a dynamic practical component, where
students can apply the information and skills gained through
course work.
