NZDF National Masterplanning Programme

From the outset, NZDF sought this important piece of work as an engagement opportunity to engage a wide stakeholder group to collaborate and develop the future vision for the nine major camps and bases.

Operating as a tight-team, NZDF and the consortium of consultants, developed a framework for delivery that:

  • identified ways to capture data efficiently;
  • built an evidence base for decisions;
  • and ensured workshops were structured and interesting for participants.

The project’s success relied upon the team’s collaborative approach, drive for high-standards and innovating through the project’s 3-year timeline; generating interest from external stakeholders and international partners.

The outputs have been developed to ensure robust outcomes and analysis of the Estate, which supports communities and Defence personnel who work, live and train at the sites.

This project and the work of the team has ensured that NZDF has a shared-vision for development and investment in its’ diverse Estate.
