Government Policy Statement on Land Transport Funding

The Government Policy Statement on Land Transport Funding (GPS) sets out the government’s priorities for expenditure from the National Land Transport Fund over the next 10 years.   It sets out how funding is allocated between activities such as road safety policing, state highways, local roads and public transport.

Engagement on GPS 2012

The Ministry of Transport, on behalf of the Minister of Transport, is currently seeking the views of Local Government New Zealand and representatives of transport users and providers on the proposed content of Government Policy Statement on Land Transport Funding 2012/13–2021/22 (GPS 2012).  This is a targeted engagement process. The relevant representative groups of transport users and providers have been contacted directly.
