The Minister of Transport has released the draft Government Policy Statement on land transport 2015/16 to 2024/25 (the draft GPS 2015) for formal engagement.

The draft GPS 2015 sets out the priorities, objectives and funding levels for land transport, establishing funding ranges for land transport activity classes and identifying the results expected from this investment.

The period for formal engagement runs until 11 August 2014, after which feedback will be considered and a final GPS prepared for discussion by Cabinet. Final decisions on the GPS will be made after the 2014 general election.

Feedback can be emailed to GPS.2015@transport.govt.nz or posted to the Ministry of Transport (PO Box 3175, Wellington 6140, New Zealand) before 5pm, Monday 11 August 2014.
