The University of Auckland's new Master of Urban Planning has just received its full accreditation following the successful completed of the third graduating year from this programme. Provisional accreditation was also given to the University's new Bachelor of Urban Planning (Hons) programme. Both degree programmes have an urban planning and design specialisation from the NZPI and are designed to provide graduates with a comprehensive professional urban planning and design education to address the challenges of an ever increasing complex urban environment and beyond.

This come on top of the University's School of Architecture and Planning recently being ranked the 45th best Architecture/Built Form School in the world (2015 QS world ranking). The School of Architecture and Planning is the only school in New Zealand that brings together Urban Planning, Urban Design and Architecture.
