Reginald Hammond Scholarship

Awarded to:

  • Bridget Taylor

Bridgets' passion for planning resulted from seeing the effects of planning in Christchurch, her home town, post-earthquake. The historic and current planning decisions have had significant effects, both positive and negative on communities in Christchurch. It was after her move to Cambridge where she decided to retrain in this field and learn more about how to create sustainable environments and achieve the ultimate balancing act between the economy, society, culture and environmental needs. Disaster planning is an area that she finds very engaging and a domain that she would like to carry out research in and make a contribution to this area of planning.
