BIO:
I am the Chief Executive of HLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Housing New Zealand Corporation. HLC manages the development of integrated urban communities. The company delivers large-scale housing projects at an industry-leading pace. It was established in 2006 to oversee the transformation of the former Hobsonville air base into a new township with homes and amenity for 11,000 Aucklanders.

I've been involved in residential property development, both locally and in Australia. I take a pragmatic and commercially-focused approach which balances investment returns with high quality urban design outcomes. I believe that our role at HLC is to provide both the physical and social infrastructure required to create environmentally, economically and socially sustainable communities. HLC's success stems from its ability to deliver homes to the market quickly and efficiently while simultaneously creating the kind of neighbourhood that supports a cohesive, healthy community with a strong sense of belonging.

I wear several other property-related hats. I'm a Director of Metlifecare Retirement Villages; a member of Auckland city’s Urban Design Plan; and I sit on various other advisory groups on residential development. I also represent HLC as a member of the Australian Government Land Organisations. I was a founding signatory of the Urban Design Protocols and a Director of Auckland City Council Property Enterprise Board for the full life of that Board.

I have long had a keen interest in New Zealand's emergent technology sector and have been closely involved with a number of tech start-ups, as both an investor and executive.
