Speaker - Adrienne Young Cooper, Panuku Board Chair

Title - Planning practice and Boardroom decisions - Case Studies

Adrienne Young-Cooper has just stepped down from almost ten years as deputy chair and chair of Housing New Zealand. She also chaired the Hobsonville Land Company for seven critical years and has also served on the boards of Waterfront Auckland, Auckland Transport Authority, New Zealand Transport Agency and Solid Energy. She serves on private sector boards as well.

How did a shy dairy farmer’s daughter raised in rural Taranaki end up with this kind of career and why is the mind of a planner so useful in the board environment?

Adrienne will talk about the increasing intersection of public good, and stakeholder driven business environments v traditional corporate approaches. Chatham House rules will apply.
