Soft Skills for Planners
Soft Skills are personal attributes that enable someone to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people. In contrast, hard skills are teachable and measurable such as writing, legal definitions, professional or technical rules and using a computer program.

Planners need both. This course supplies you with tools for personal awareness and techniques for relating with others positively. The soft skills covered will enable planners to use their hard skills more effectively.

Learning Outcomes:
Know how to:

· build and maintain self-confidence

· how to communicate with others effectively

· establish important relationships

· influence other people - colleagues, members of the public, other professions or even your manager.

Learning methods:
This course will include a combination of virtual training including (in time order):

· A set of self-paced introductory slides

· Three personal awareness profiles with feedback

· An interactive webinar to share knowledge and ask questions

· A personal 30 minute call to apply the learnings to your specific situation
