This full day course is now a half day course run online via Zoom. The webinar will be preceded by some personal profiling and a self-paced slide / video plus a post webinar online follow up.

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION DEADLINE is 9am, Thursday 3rd September. This is so the Presenter has time to evaluate the pre-course forms prior to the course date.

Be confident and influence others

Planners need soft skills to succeed. Soft Skills enable a planner to interact confidently, effectively and positively with other people. This requires personal awareness and interpersonal techniques. In contrast, hard skills are easier to teach. They include things that are measurable such as writing, legal definitions, professional or technical rules and using a computer program.

This course supplies planners with tools for personal awareness and techniques for relating with others positively. The soft skills covered will enable planners to use their hard planning skills more effectively.

This is a virtual and mixed programme using personal study as well as a collective webinar. It has the advantage of being more time efficient and more personally targeted than a workshop.

Learning Outcomes:

· build and maintain self-confidence

· communicate with others effectively

· establish important relationships

· influence other people - colleagues, members of the public, other professions, age groups and even your manager.

Learning methods:
This course will include a combination of virtual training including (in time order):

· A set of self-paced introductory slides

· Three personal awareness profiles with personal, confidential feedback

· An interactive webinar to share knowledge and experiences with other planners

· A personal 30 minute confidential call to apply the learnings to your specific situation
