2020 LUNCHTIME SERIES: Urban Design, transportation and growth management in post Covid 19 world

Date: Wednesday 08th July 2020
Time: 12:30 pm – 01:30 pm

Join us in an interesting lunchtime session; presented by Dr Lee Beattie and Mr Ian Munro.

Auckland, and many other New Zealand centres have a long history of basing urban growth management and urban design strategies around the concepts of transit oriented development, or TOD’s and along public transport routes.

We question whether this approach has been conceptualised correctly in the New Zealand context and what this would been mean in a post Corvid 19 world for urban design and the ability to creative resilient communities, as we return to the local?
