NZPI is pleased to bring you a panel discussion bringing together experts from planning, law and politics to discuss resource management and environmental reform in the era of climate change and COVID19, and why despite it all, we may have cause for optimism.

Mark Baker-Jones
Is the climate change lead at Simpson Grierson. He is a specialist on climate change legal risk. Mark has worked extensively as a climate change policy advisor both here and in Australia, including to Climate Change Minister, Hon. James Shaw, on development of Aotearoa New Zealand’s climate change legislative regime.

Amelia Linzey
Amelia Linzey is a leading planner. She is Senior Technical Director of the planning team at Beca. Amelia has been a member of the Advisory Board for the New Zealand Sustainable Business Council and an editor for the New Zealand Planning Institutes official journal and was on the Resource Management Review Panel with five others from 2019 to June 2020.

Pippa Coom
Pippa is an elected Councillor on Auckland Council, representing the Waitematā and Gulf ward, in 2019 after having served nine years on the Waitematā Local Board as Deputy Chair and Chair for the 2016 - 2019 term. Pippa is Deputy Chair of the Environment and Climate Change Committee, a member of Local Government NZ’s National Council and is co-Chair of the Hauraki Gulf Forum.
