The Ministry for the Environment’s discussion document Building Competitive Cities: Reform of the Urban and Infrastructure Planning System focuses on the problems identified with the current RMA system for urban planning and infrastructure development and sets out a range of possible options for consideration by the community. This review is part of Central Government’s ongoing Resource Management Phase II reforms, with this document specifically addressing RMII U (Urban Planning) and RMII I (Infrastructure).
The NZPI submission to the above document has now been completed and lodged with the Ministry for the Environment.
