World Town Planning Day


WTPD is a special day to recognize and promote the role of planning in creating livable communities. NZPI has coordinated a number of events across the country and beyond to highlight the positive role of planners in supporting communities and sustainable development.

    An Early World Town Planning Day Event
    Bill Bayfield, the new Chief Executive of Environment Canterbury, will provide an insight into his first few months at E-Can, and the many opportunities for the Canterbury region. The Regional Council is dealing with a huge range of topical work at the moment, including co-governance and Ngai Tahu, UDS/CERA/Earthquake recovery, the proposed RPS, the on-going roll out of the CWMS and preparation of the draft Land & Water Plan. Come and meet the new CE for the Region.
